My Back Story
Before I discovered the courage to launch my first company back in 1986, I was introduced to a brief, but inspiring little book entitled Rhinoceros Success. The year was 1982 and I was the Distribution Manager for an early computer distributor in Hermosa Beach, California. The premise of the book, without giving away its treasured reveal, was this. In business, as well as life, you need to be thick skinned to survive. This book planted the seed of inspiration, vision and determination I lacked.
Four years later, and resettled in St. Louis, Missouri, I launched Creative Communications, an interactive multimedia ad agency, before anyone knew what that meant. I didn't even know how to spell entrepreneur, much less, how to be one. But there I was, advising senior marketing and sales directors, C-level executives and corporate officers, how to communicate and present their message more effectively with both staff and shareholders alike.
My client list was a who's who list of corporate elites including market leaders like Anheuser Busch, AAA Auto Club, Eveready Battery, Ralston Purina, Monsanto, the United States Army Reserve and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
If you had told me back then that I would go on to work with two of the largest management consulting and business strategy firms, namely Accenture and Deloitte Consulting, traveling the globe and advising Partners, International corporate officers, their Boards and CxO's at telecommunications and financial services firms about how to prepare for the next wave of technology and communications, well...I may not have believed you.

30 years later, I am the Founder and Chief Executive at Hammond Ink Advisory, and I am extremely fortunate to be in a very unique position.
A position that affords me the opportunity to focus on unique opportunities where I can 'give back and share' my professional experiences, strengths, gifts and insights, with organizations that simply need a little help framing or deploying a solution to a business challenge. I've had the pleasure and honor of working with and advising to a host of companies. Each one, every engagement, deserves a great deal of credit for lending a hand in my development as an inquisitive listener, strategic thinker, communicator and trusted advisor. They pushed back on my ideas, critiqued my writings and countered the strategies I put forward. For which I am most grateful. |
Today, in addition to managing Hammond Ink, and making myself available to public speaking opportunities to inspire and encourage, I'm the executive director of The Legacies of HOPE institute and the author of a book entitled: Legacies of Valor: Traits of Character - The Noble and the notable.
Based in beautiful Northern Colorado, I am an off-road enthusiast, an adventurer and explorer, both personally and professionally. An advocate for government accountability and a former Commissioner for the City Planning Commission, I am committed to helping the Next Generation of movers and shakers to define solutions to business challenges.
